Account Types


These accounts are for people who bring their items to the store to sell on their behalf in exchange for a split or flat amount. This is typical in a variety of store types like Traditional Consignment, Antique Malls, and Vendor/Dealer Malls.

Whenever a new consignor is created they also get a linked customer account.


Accounts that store information about people who have shopped in your store before. They can hold contact information, purchase history, customer notes, customer store credit, reward points and more.


Vendors in SimpleConsign do not refer to Antique Mall style Vendors or Dealers. Vendor here is closer to wholesale supplier.

These accounts are an easy way to keep track of the contact information for where various items were ordered. There's no ability to collect a split, fees, etc. with Vendor accounts. They are purely for tracking where inventory came from.
